The accolades keep coming in for our restaurant, Romewise, a blog where the talented Elyssa gives advice on where to stay, eat, shop and what to do in Rome, has compiled a list of the best restaurants in the vicinity of the Trevi Fountain, and among them Piccolo Arancio could not be missing.
Here’s what they say about our restaurant: ‘You think restaurants near the Trevi Fountain are mostly touristy and overpriced … but you’re wrong. Il Piccolo Arancio … is located in a quiet little street just a few minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain. Mara and Carlo, the owners, are there almost every evening. The staff is friendly and helpful. You will find a lot of choices on the menu (pasta, meat, fish) but don’t be overwhelmed. Everything is fine. I love their fried appetisers such as fried zucchini flowers and fried cod; their seafood, including smoked swordfish, sauté of mussels and clams and octopus salad; and all their pastas, especially the spaghetti with anchovies and pecorino cheese. Finally … the homemade panna cotta is divine’.
