Small and perfectly formed…

The “Piccolo Arancio” restaurant has always been located between the Quirinale and the Trevi Fountain: a historical and very welcoming venue with a long-standing family tradition, which has conserved all the care and love for characteristic Roman food, revisiting the dishes and presenting them in a modern key.

If you want to try one of our pasta dishes, we recommend our unique and absolutely delicious “orange ravioli”, our “fettuccine with lamb ragout” or our fresh surf ‘n’ turf pasta with clams and Porcini mushrooms.

We serve only the freshest fish, delivered daily.

Then you can satisfy your sweet tooth with our delicious homemade mousses or our mixed berry mille-feuille.

Carlo & Mara look forward to seeing you!

Carlo and Mara are always here, supervising the kitchen and the dining room, lovingly and meticulously choosing seasonal dishes for the restaurant’s menus. The wine list features an excellent selection of labels, with 60 whites, 140 reds and 15 dessert wines.

Quick and polite service in a very pleasant setting.

We highly recommend booking as space is limited.

Say About Us

”Arrived to the restaurant due to recommendation. Fried artichoke was very good, soup was ok, pasta was just delicious, so fresh and extremely tasty but the most exciting dish was the perfect Italian tiramisu, it was the best I ever ate.
Don’t miss this restaurant !”

Liran E review from TripAdvisor

”This place was AMAZING. The food was delicious, the wine was tasty and the prices were great. It was 8 euro for a half liter of wine which was about 5 glasses. The staff was friendly, Matteo and Tarik took great care of my parents and I. The place is a little small and tables are close together, I would recommend making a reservation. The fettucine with salmon cream sauce, eggplant parmesan and pasta with eggplant and tomato sauce is what my family got. To quote my father, "the tomato sauce bordered on spectacular." It was in a quiet little alleyway but close to main streets with shops and a great gelato spot. The prices were great for the amount you got. I would highly recommend this place and I thank Piccolo Arancio for a memorable dining experience in Rome."

”During our 3 night stay in Rome we ate here one lunchtime and one evening. Both experiences were good but I recommend the Piccolo Arancio for an evening more, but book or arrive early because it is very popular. Thoroughly recommend the Carborna and the house white wine. Slightly surly waiter but stangely felt more of a genuine Italian experience because of this! Try it."
